Marine Corps Marathon

Today I celebrated the 34th running of the Marine Corps Marathon in true athletic fashion. First, Katie and I slept in (so we actually missed the first runners, but did made it in time to see the first female pass). We only had to walk one block as the Marathon comes through our neighborhood (we’re at mile 23). After walking along the course for a half mile or so we started to get hungry. Our next stop was the all-you-can-eat brunch buffet at the Crystal City Sports Pub. After stuffing myself I went home to take a 2 hour nap. After that I watched a movie on TV and drank some beer. About 5pm Katie and I ventured outside again to see if there were any afternoon festivites (we had heard a rumor the Spin Doctors were playing). There were none so we went home. Now I’m drinking another beer as I write this blog. Whew - what an exhausting day!

    Don’t strain yourself! ;-)

Are you at least still hashing?

No, I haven’t done any hashing recently. I hate driving in DC traffic. Even on the weekend it sucks. Unfortunately most of the hashes I see either require driving or happen on a night I can’t make it. I’ll probably try to get to a few though before leaving DC.
