To India

Tomorrow I leave for India to attend the wedding of two business school friends. The wedding is a traditional Indian wedding and will be 3 or 4 days long. I even had to send my measurements so they could make me a traditional costume to wear.

After the wedding I will travel to Agra to see the Taj Majal with some of the wedding guests. I also have a few extra days in there to poke around Delhi bringing my trip to 10 days.

I was able to book very cheap tickets (less than $700 R/T from Sofia) to Delhi on Aeroflot so I’ll be able to experience the Russian flagship airline. I will also be able to experience the Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport as I connect flights in Moscow. However, I won’t see more than just the airport because I won’t have time and I didn’t want to spend the money on a second visa (I already had to pay $100 to get my Indian visa). Although, I can’t complain about the cost of the trip because the visa and ticket are the only thing I need to pay for (well, and maybe a few meals and incidentals) – the wedding party is covering the rest.

So check back in a couple weeks to see tales and pictures of my adventures in India.
