I was having lunch with one of my Bulgarian coworkers and the conversation turned to business leaders. My coworker was talking about a biography of Lee Iacocca he had read. He mentioned that Bulgarians are taught all about Lee Iacocca in school. I mentioned that Mr. Iacocca spoke at our business school Symposium event. My coworker seemed impressed. Then, to continue bragging about Boston University, I went on…
“You know, Jack Welch also spoke at my business school.”
“Who is Jack Welch?”
“You know, the former CEO of General Electric – the #5 company on the Fortune 500.”
(pause) “I don’t know him. He is not very big in Bulgaria.”
